Should for whatever reason Mr Capello not be in charge of the England team  I do think David Beckham would 'chuck his hat' into the ring. Scoff you may,but i don't see Beckham walking away.

i don't think he'd bother really

for a start he's still a player! he has a clause in his MLS contract saying that he can buy his own FRANCHISE when he retires, so he'll probably do that, plus he's got his soccer schools, charity work etc.

he's got an amazing reputation here, why would he risk ruining it because 11 overpaid twats can't be arsed?

Shooting Capello would be a little excessive even if England fail to progress beyond the group stage.

Just waiting for the clamour for Harry bloody Redknapp to get the job to start. Think if we don't qualify for the next round Capello will say sod it and walk, he is a winner and after last night don't think you can say the same about are 'stars'.

I haven't read any papers this morning but I would bet a fair sum that 'Arry has a (well paid) column in one of the tabloids, and is already pushing a thinly veiled bit of self-promotion to the detriment of Capello, probably including a complaint that Defoe, Crouch and Dawson aren't getting a go. And suggesting that an English manager- meaning himself of course- would do a better job.

Harry: there is a reason Capello has managed Roma, Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and England, while you have managed Bournemouth, West Ham, Portsmouth, Spurs and Southampton.

I think David Beckham will be as good as Bobby Charlton and Nobby Stiles as a manager, useless. The man is too thick.

Great player who always stood up to pressure and gave 100% every game but would be even more of a disaster than Kevin Keegan as manager.
