Bloody brilliant.

Also brilliant at twatting aside the silly-arse questions post match.

First ever qualifier to reach the semi final of the US Open

Which is quite astonishing.

And not remotely plucky.

If that had been Murray he'd have been blubbing. She just giggled a bit.

Brilliant performance and a lovely girl.
I feel so sorry for her looking ahead to Wimbledon next year. Massive media attention and expectation. So much pressure.

I hope someone can look after her and keep the media away .

First ever qualifier to reach the semi final of the US Open

Only the third woman ranked outside the top 100 to make the US semi finals too. The other two, Kim Clijsters won it in 2009 in her third tournament after her comeback from retirement and Billie Jean King who lost in the semi final in 1979 as her career wound down due to injury. She is in illustrious company. Think Emma achieving this as a teenager tops both of them. Remarkable achievement.

Great stuff.

I can see her emulating the feat of the other Canadian tennis great Greg Rusedski and making it all the way to the final.
