I once saw 'The Kids from Fame' at the Brighton Centre, but I'll allow myself that one, as my Mum took us, and at 12 I was too young to know better.

Less forgivably, and completely inexplicably my mates and I saw Roachford at the Dome.

'my only joy, is my cuddly toy......' Come again?

It was shit. That is all.

The Cheeky Girls and Chesney Hawkes played at my Union.

Presumable there was an element of choice, about actually attending though?

No forgiveness for that.

I went to see a band called the Thrashing Doves in my first week at university (1986), having bought a couple of singles while at school. And there was about 15 people there in a fairly sizeable room. The band didn't look thrilled, and it's fair to say they didn't give it their all. It was a real-life 'Tap' moment.

Myself and Tubby Mondays went along to see Louise at Tunbridge Wells assembly hall.
The support was some really bad boy band.

The best thing was that the bar was almost empty, as the rest of the audience was made up by mum's and dad's with their prepubescent daughters !

She was fit though, so there is some justification, I guess.

de la soul. advertised as the joys of old school cheesy rap(singing three is the magic number) turned into a GANGSTER-FEST with the band refusing to do anything other than the new stuff they are promoting, basically hip hop shit.

WAS NOT PLEASED

At a British Hip-Hop DJ championship in Brixton some 15 years ago, Beats International came on and played a few songs. I, and pretty much all of the rest of the big-trainered flouncers, moved to the back of the venue, looking in the opposite way to the stage. We wouldn't even nod our heads at the cosy, teapot-loving, whiteboy popbeats.

I can imagine. That's nothing to be ashamed of though.

Some of you are sitting on much deeper secrets surely. Someon must have been to see Celine Dion.

I think you are exonerated though MB, as you didn't actually choose to go to their gig -they were just the half-time entertainment, if you like.

I doubt anyone would own up to it though. In terms of embarrassing secrets that would be up there with going to casualty with your knob stuck in the vacuum cleaner.

Gary Glitter at the Brighton Centre, in about 1987. All I can say in my defence is a) it really wasn't my idea, but two girls from college who asked me along and with whom b) I played a very entertaining session of strip poker with later that evening. We were all about 17, so I'm sure the man himself would have (gulp) given us the thumbs up.

Did you hear the gay, bigman afterlife rap of the Notorious Christopher Biggins Small?

Sadly not. But I have seen Basil Brush. And also Steve 'Phil Mitchell' McFadden, hilariously playing to a roomful of kids shortly after his dogging activities were exposed.
