Benyon has the fourth-highest tally of goals in League Two

Torquay United manager Paul Buckle has turned down an offer for leading scorer Elliot Benyon from an unnamed League One side.

The 23-year-old striker has netted eight goals in the league, and one in the FA Cup so far this season.

Buckle told BBC Radio Devon: "Elliot's shown he can score goals at this level on a consistent basis and that's catching the eye of teams above us.

"Unless we get the right offer for him he'll stay here."

I thought we were after a winger!:bhasign:

Saints have 3 strikers all better than Benyon, Bournemouth have no cash, Dagenham would make sense, seeing as they may have a bit of money left after the sale of Benson to Charlton.
