Obviously the talks that happened over a permanent deal in the summer have progressed and with Benno not even making the bench at the moment, this seems like a move that makes sense all round.

Good luck to him, but I fear the serious knee injury he suffered last season has taken a yard of pace off him at least.

Please let this happen. One of the most consistent performers we have had in recent memory. Was never less than a 7//10 because even if he had a bit of an off day he still put in a tremendous shift across the pitch. Exactly what we need at the moment. Seem to remember him at his most effective under Gus when played down the middle in that almost 'free role', with Bridcutt, Navarro and Kishishev behind. Could work well under Sami.
