The quality of strikers is a different question though isn't it and one the club obviously need to address. However poor our existing strike force have been all of them have scored at a good rate in other teams. Bennett will improve that and perhaps draw a few goals out of our current forward line and even more if the club bring in some real quality up top.

Really struggling how anyone can see this move as anything but a real positive for the squad

Don't think anyone would object to him coming back and creating chances, it's the fact that if you haven't got anyone with the instinct to be in the right place at the right time ( see Ulloa ) and not be routed to the spot and not reading the game as a decent striker should ( see Chris O,lady)

On the view this can become permanent, Bennett did sign a new contract in the summer, so I'd be surprised if we sold in January, but I could see the loan being extended for sure

No one has mentioned Bennett as a wing back . I remember him playing several very good games as a right back and looked good . Could be what hyypia thinking ?

Why he has played at right wing and right back for us very effectively so an obvious right wing back who can get forward and get back quick to defend

We have got to have a right winger and Elliott Bennett is the best that is likely to be available.

As we are no longer seen as promotion rivals, the other contenders must think we are a good bet to take points (one) off their rivals with a loan.

Replaces both Buckley and Crofts all in one player!

He was very good for us as right back and also as right wing/ midfield so wingback will suit him and us very well.
