embarrassing turned over once the 2nd went in. Sums up Barca season shocking awful are just some of the words

Was absolutely embarrassed to be a Cule last night :(
The first 2 goals should never have counted though. But the team played with no conviction or pride last night. I turned off after the 3rd went in :(
Best pack my white hanky for this weekends game as i fear there is gonna be up roar at the Camp Nou. Hoping Frank is sacked this morning, it's the least Laporta could do.

Agreed.

Question is then, who's next? I'd like Mourinho myself, but I've heard that it's more likely to be either Guardiola or Laudrup, so

If Guardiola used to play for Barca then I'm sure they mentioned him last night as the new manager.

Indeed.

I think he runs the Youth Academy at Barca now.

He is boss of the B team who haven't been too bad but it a different world from running the biggest club in the world. Personally think it is too early for him to make the step maybe assistant to a wiser person

I'm with you there Rookie.

I think they'd be better going for an experienced, top-class manager who could 'groom' (I hate that word in such a context, but can't think of another one) Guardiola to take over at some point in the future.

It's just been pointed out to me by a poster on here who shall remain nameless that the situation at Barca does have some similarities with that at another world-famous football club not so long ago:

- Former manager sacked after failing to deliver success, replaced by former midfielder and current youth/reserve team manager who has no senior managerial experience whatsoever, but is (at the start at least) generally well-thought of by the fans, despite his inexperience.

In essence, Barca have appointed their equivalent of Dean Wilkins. :thud:

He can wrap up the title for Barca B with a win on sunday, hoping to be in the mini estadi to see it :clap2:

Was quite shocked by Pep´s appointment, but the players are already coming out and saying they think it is the right move. Lets hope it doesn´t end up the same as Wilkins.

He´ll be getting my backing next season, although some fans have started to slate him before he´s even started the job
