Hinshelwood’s cousin! There's a fact that will be oft quoted for years perhaps.

Guy rather spoils it when he says 'quite the bloodline' when theres no bloodline, but fun none the less

The bloke is a massive racist and was concerned that Hamas were going to bomb the Amex. Bloodline probably just means “white and English”.

Really? So Jamie Howell married his second cousin eh. If they have kids the football genes will be strong!

Unless Adams sister is actually his mother, although the tweet is worded rather strangely if that's the case
The tweet says Jamie Howell married Adam’s sister, whose maiden name would be Hinshelwood, so therefore Adam’s nephew.
 .

So made up for them lads, what a great achievement, it was like our senior team winning for me(almost). And a big thumbs up for those that attended last night, I take my hat off to you.

Yer sister is your mother , your cousin is your brother, we all shag one another…. The Brighton family.

Just remember…’.the family that lays together… stays together.’

No Under-21 side has ever won this...or even got to the final since that was introduced. The Reading comments about the state of their shower this morning are quite amusing.

I wonder if we did get to Wembley...how many would go?

Right, let's go for it now. Team for the next round (assuming no more loaned out or injured):

McGill
Offiah - Kavanagh - McConville - Samuels
Hinshelwood - Baleba
Buonanotte - Enciso - Adingra
Ferguson
Subs: Cahill, Fati, Jackson, Hinchy, Barrington, BBB, Welbeck (overage), Milner (overage), O'Mahoney.

Just imagine what that team could have done to Reading last night! :)

Reading fans, oh go then................

Bit of a sliding doors moment that, arguably ever since then we've been on the inexorable rise (or certainly once we got through the Hyppia mistake 6 months later) to where we are now while for them things have been getting progressively worse.

You'd need a heart of stone not to laugh

As someone at both matches, U21's and Stoke, I think we need to re-imagine a certain footballing statement.
"If you can survive at an empty Amex on a freezing cold Tuesday night you can survive anywhere"
Only good part, Bovril was hot and on the A27 less then 10 minutes after leaving the stadium.
Some very interesting chat with the away fans, of whom there were a lot.
Having seen the U21's occasionally it is always fun when one of them turns up in the first team. Last night it was the other way round with Hinchy having played all of 3 minutes at Stoke starting for the youngsters.
