Education for the JCL's

As a supposed 'JCL' like myself, I do find that I don't know enough about the undoubted great club that is Brighton and Hove Albion FC.

There are just some things that Wikipedia can't tell you, from tales of great players, dramatic games, favourite moments and just general amusing stories which have happened in the stadium (the only one i've really encountered is the chant of "seagull" when one lands on the pitch)...

I can bore you to tears about my primary club, so, with this in mind I would like you, the fans, an opportunity to educate me and other JCLs about things you just don't read about.

Or, you can ignore this thread, let the JCL's stay ignorant and let this post dift aimlessly into the abyss of NSC dead posts.

Also the thread recently with all of Bobby Zamora's goals is worth a watch. Oh, and The Withdean years DVD is absolutely top class for recounting 13 years of the clubs life.

I think it's great you want to learn more and are interested and haven't been put off my the idiots and the JCL 'joke' but it really really annoys me when I see things like 'Primary club'

One of the first lessons of Brighton fanage, Assuming your from Brighton/live here is there is only one club, there is so much within the city and sussex in general to chuck yourself in, and make friends from there is no other time for a primary club.

Thats nonsense, are you telling me if something happened and you had to move away from Brighton you would automatically stop supporting them?

and it's Rangers

Quite, some people could do with realising that there is a big world outside Brighton/Sussex.

Oh and sorry, I understand your point, i'm not from round here, just moved here. Adopting a local team to support, hence the reason I don't know much.

I did move away from Brighton and still only support 1 club of course thats made easier by BHAFC being awesome and Bradford FC being being rubbish and Bradford PA charging to much money to go and see a blue sq club

Don't worry about the JCL bollocks. Just turn up, enjoy the game, support the team and have a beer and a pie. There's no exam, and if you haven't already, you'll pick up the old songs soon enough - and hopefully some new ones as well.

Speaking to the wrong guy, Given I've traveled to over 30 countries and looking at somepoint to emigrate to Oz myself.

MY post was taken the wrong way, Perhaps I had written it wrong.

A local club, for local people.

Geez it's getting like Yorkshire on here.

btw I went to see Rangers play Juventus at the Stadio Del Alpi in the mid- late 90's. Your supporters were absolutely great fun really nice bunch of lands especially when I fell down on to the concreat seats after a few too many Buckfasts (that your boys brought with them :) )They looked after me and helped me find my mates. Top Fellas them Billy Boys. Gutted what happened to your club.

fair enough, it came across a bit smalltown! maybe i took it wrong.

Where are you thinking of moving to? I can recommend Geelong as one of the better places you can get assistance to move to. Weather is a bit crappy though compared to much of Oz.

PM me if you ever want to know anything. Happy to help if i can!
