Whats that street which is all pubs? You could do that. If you fancy a drink or several.

Street with all pubs is called Rose Street. Its pedestrianised and runs parallel to Princes Street. Other places. Great arts cinema on Lothian Road. The botanical gardens. The Royal Mile where all the tourists go because it leads up to the castle. Grassmarket is excellent for pubs and would recommend the little french restaurant there (Petit Paris?). Very good value. Go and play free pitch and putt on the Meadows off lothian Road. Have a coffee in The Elephant House cafe where whats her name wrote Harry Potter. Read and Ian Rankin book and go to all the pubs mentioned.
Have fun.

In a pile of football shirts
Cadenhead's Whisky shop at the bottom end of the Royal Mile. Quite possibly the best shop in the world.

Go in to The Point hotel, take the lift to any floor. Suddenly feel that you're in a Kubrick movie - or Half Life 2.

We stayed there a few years ago - great breakfast buffet! But down to business - as was stated many times on the last time this thread was put up here - don't waste a minute of your time falling asleep in Edinburgh, get on the train to Glasgow - only one hour away.
