An excellent first half, but only 1 team was likely to win that after the sending-off and equaliser - it was just a case of when, not if they'd score.

They took their chances well and it should have been 3-1 to them with a glaring miss after a shocking backpass.

Once again, Brighton failed to deal with Traore and he ran us ragged and made the difference.

3 more points lost from a winning position.

Disappointing.

Very disappointing, as nobody seemed to remember what happened at the Amex. Same old, same old. Just let it happen. BDB has to play there irrespective, so lets just invite it to happen, all over again. Like a racing yacht going round an oil tanker. Embarrassing and predictable.

Disappointing game obviously but sometimes just one poor decision can change the entire outcome of the game. A game to forget really.

He didn’t do anything like what he did to Burn at the Amex though. He’s just a very good player and getting round people. Goal came from the middle. I don’t think there’s anyone to blame in terms of we had 10 men and Traore is the best in the league at beating players...

Neither were violent conduct.

Dunk: one game (two, apparently, due to previous red). Maupay: two, I believe.

Good to hear as I was working on the basis that Dunk would be a 4 game ban (3+1 as 2nd red) so would miss the opening game next season as well.

10-45 absolutely fantastic. Bossed the game, got the goal. Stonewall pen denied - sorry what’s VAR for?
Dunk sending off - silly - very silly - shouldn’t have done it - but was immense before that
Game totally ruined as a spectical
Dug in and defended well - both goals fell very kindly to them
Despite the pundits wanting to make it an exciting spectacle, we are 99% safe and the game doesn’t matter as much as earlier games, so rather we **** up a game we should clearly win now.
Future is still very bright and Potter showed first half what he can do once again with our excellent squad.

That’s just how I saw it personally - very easy to sum up

Good post, I feel (ever so slightly) less grumpy now.

10 men, away from home, stretched and tired vs AT... all too inevitable... sadly :(

Oh well, we love playing West Ham... (usually)

Onward.

Yes i like to think I’m a glass half full kind of guy and that’s my role on here after a defeat. We were absolute class first half.

Exactly, we were superb... ultimately that makes the defeat even harder to swallow BUT we will put it right vs West Ham i'm sure. They're in a false position for me, so are we... should be interesting.

Does anyone know how many points we've lost from winning positions now?

Well done to the commentators to point out Nunos made a masterful tactical move by bringing on Traore, the one player every Brighton fan worried he might bring on. And to do it against 10 men as well!

And to think he was only on for 30 minutes.

In that time, he scored, intercepted the back pass and was effortlessly doing Burn et al for pace out wide before whipping in crosses.

Impact.

We’re vying with Spuds to be the chumps.

This was as at 5th April, add three today to make it 23 for us. Spuds have added 5 to take their tally to 20.

A question about Traore. Might he be a more consistent player and possibly at a bigger club if he laid off the weights? He has the pace but all that muscle bulk uses up more energy.

Spot on and yes I thought it was a penalty - as did Murray in the studio - but not even mentioned for checking by VAR !!!

Also as other threads, Maupay got nothing off the ref all game and was kicked about a bit I guess Cody in the last minute was the final straw for him ...

Goals may not have come direct from wing but once Burn was defending out wide Troure and others were easily going past him.nearly everytime. Have always said he is terrible one on one defending and today was no different
