Based on 22K STHs and max. away allocation around 3K.

Cardiff on Tuesday 21st August...? 22,500...?

Barnsley on Sat 25th August...? 22,500...?

Sheff Weds on Sat 15th September...? 25,000+...?

Birmingham on Sat 29th September...? 25,000+...?

Will we ever get 30,000? With a capacity of slightly more soon I think we'll get bloody close.

To get 30K when we are at full capacity next year, we would need every away seat filled plus all STH's to show up. With seats lost to segregating fans and the usual club reserved seats it would be a very special game to get there.

Even allowing for22K or 23K or 24K season tickets reportedly sold (I still can't work out which) I think in truth we will struggle to hit 25K consistently this season with the number of midweek games, STH no shows, and a predominantly northern league

Attendances are always lower in August with so many fans on holiday , Cardiff is a mid-weeker so the Taffs may only bring 1,000 and Barnsley roughly the same. Cardiff may only attract a 20k crowd , Barnsley 21k. Providing Wednesday and Birmingham bring down a few these crowds will be 25k+

This low crowd stuff in August is a myth,i don't see a lot of difference in attendances dropping to be honest, people go on holiday all year round and many can't afford to take the kids away on summer holidays etc as prices rocket.
If a reason was needed for early season attendance flops it would be the usual fans that turn up when doing well in the 2nd part of the season,we have a huge amount of st holders and hopefully this season many will let friends or family have their seats unlike last season.

Any gates over 22,000 will I expect be the exception not the given.
Many ST holders don't go to every game, people on holiday, lower away support for many of the teams having visited us last year, if we have a poorer start than last year & no meaningful signings, together with the ongoing recession.

Of course the Crawley effect too, lol

I think we will be one of the clubs in the division whose average attendance will be higher than last year.

Does the planning permission allow for 30,750 seats, or for a capacity of 30,750?

If it's the latter surely the club will allow for extra seats to mbe put in to compensate for those lost to segregation?
