Could be an idea to put Joel in the shop window? (Of course, I want him to stay, but!)

Not on telly, but cameras will be there, and dare say a few scouts if City put a few reserves in the mix.

Albion will give injured skipper Nicky Forster every chance to lead the side out against Manchester City.

Forster is touch and go for Wednesday's Carling Cup clash at Withdean, due to the thigh injury which has plagued him since the draw at Yeovil nine days ago.

He was a major doubt for Saturday's home defeat by nine-man Walsall, when he lasted until midway through the second half.

Manager Micky Adams said: "It's a big game on Wednesday and he wants to play in it.

"He's the captain of the club, so we will give him every opportunity to declare himself fit."

Colin Hawkins is a definite non-starter against City following hernia surgery in Munich last week but Adams has not ruled the Irish centre half out of Saturday's trip to Northampton.

Forster has played well, he is old, and clearly not fit, so why risk him. Yes it would be nice to play, but surely its worth saving him for the game that matters away at Northampton.

We cannot have poor away form as well as home form, so we need a victory on Saturday, not Wednesday

^ agree

But I would rather lose 3-0 than 6-0

i think a happy medium is the order of play.

Despite what MA has said this season about people having to deserve the shirt, in practice it seems to make FA difference. There are people who should be getting a chance no matter what we think of them and a chance doesn't mean 15 minutes at the end of a game.

He had an ideal opportunity on Saturday to give the likes of Jake and Doug a proper chance and yet he didn't. It mightn't have worked but how can you tell if you don't play them?

Wonder if Lynch will "rule himself out" for this one?

Wholesale changes after the latest debacle, we don't really care about the score, Saturday is a lot more important:

24. Tommy Elphick
14. David Livermore

28. Joe Anyinsah
22. Tommy Fraser
23. Adam Virgo
18. Doug Loft

9. Nicky Forster
30. Kane Louis

Substitutes:

2. Andy Whing
13. John Sullivan
17. Glenn Murray
20. Joe Gatting
25. Scott Chamberlain
26. Wes Fogden
33. Sam Gargan

One good thing is, that side is not going to happen.

In a pile of football shirts
Happy to see Forster, Kuipers and perhaps Fraser on Wednesday, but would also be delighted to see all the rest dropped and the fringe and reserve team players have the chance.

Chances of Micky dropping ALL four of the midfield would be slim to none I reckon.

this is true. thomson and cox don't deserve a game though. hart wasn't up to much, and virgo moving to right back would be beneficial, in my opinion.

micky knows best though..... i guess..

If we don't have Forster we're definetely buggered. I'd change all 4 of the midfield though if McLeod is fit.
