Albion will give injured skipper Nicky Forster every chance to lead the side out against Manchester City.
Forster is touch and go for Wednesday's Carling Cup clash at Withdean, due to the thigh injury which has plagued him since the draw at Yeovil nine days ago.
He was a major doubt for Saturday's home defeat by nine-man Walsall, when he lasted until midway through the second half.
Manager Micky Adams said: "It's a big game on Wednesday and he wants to play in it.
"He's the captain of the club, so we will give him every opportunity to declare himself fit."
Colin Hawkins is a definite non-starter against City following hernia surgery in Munich last week but Adams has not ruled the Irish centre half out of Saturday's trip to Northampton.
