E-Mails from the club

I've received another unsolicited e-mail from the club this morning - this time about the fantasy football competition. I'm sure I said I didn't want to receive e-mail from the club and there is no option to unsubscribe from the e-mail list. This makes the club in breach of the data protection act.

Is anyone else receiving e-mail from the club they didn't ask for?

I got one, but it wasn't unsolicited.

More to the point, I was quite surprised that in the week we got Falmer, Dick Knight is putting his name to emails about Fantasy Football!!

Surely he has better and more important things to write to the fans about?!

Yes, because DK personally wrote the entire email and individually selected who to email to.

My son got an email about the Fantasy Football and the only time his email address has ever been given to the club was for his away membership, so can only assume they've been raiding that database.

An email from the club I can tolerate - I can only assume they will benefit from this particular arrangement. I only hope they don't take it upon themselves to share this information with '3rd parties' :annoyed:
