As for that awards thing, well you make what you want of them but putting "Officially NSC's funniest poster" or "best avatar" or whatever in your signature is, erm, a bit desperate. So I wasn't swiping at "the winners" as such at all, I just don't understand the need to advertise the fact.

The awards were just a chuckle. Im can't believe people got worked up about them!

As I have explained twice on this thread, I have no problem with the awards whatsoever. I really couldn't care less, in fact. It's been done loads of times and they're a bit boring and slightly devisive, but I really don't have a problem if other people do them.

I suggest you re-read my posts, point out where it says I have a problem with those awards and let me know. Otherwise, shut up and stop trying to start an argument that isn't there.

The awards were - presumably - a laugh for those involved. And so is taking the piss out of people sad enought put them on their signatures for others. Both are obviously fair game. What I think some of the relative newcomers to this site don't understand is that we've all been pretty much recycling the same old stuff in a slightly different form of words for years and years. Shafts of new enlightenment are rare indeed (and it's getting worse). And there's always a row or two in the summer.

Turkey, we've all heard enough about the 19th. If you weren't there, it's ******* boring. And if you were there, you've already posted about 50 times each, which is an excellent record of events.

I've known T.K. AKA dwayne for years and he's a great bloke, he even gave me a lift to Stoke (aswell as buying the weed for the journey) with DTES and I'm not even a Brighton supporter.

This story is true, the guy does exist. Whether it is him posting, or dwayne pretending to be him I don't know, but I met the guy (a Man Utd fan, but that is irrelevant as far as this thread is concerned) on the journey to Stoke as he said.

As I've said many times before, dwayne was a perfectly decent guy when I met him in person. I'm not in any way going to justify his threats to Safeway or Turkey, they're obviously well out of order, but I've never had a problem with him. He's just not the same person when he posts on here, and I have absolutely no idea why.

Nobodies perfect, but I think this banning has made the point. I don't think he'll be doing it again.

Safeway - You're a top bloke, and I'm not trying to slate you, but as is always said, ignore the guy. If he abuses you in PM's, either get the mods to take away his PMing rights, block him (if poss) or just ignore him. I'm sure the mods can do something about PMs. If you really must, then send abuse back. Just keep it away from the main boards.

That goes for everyone, no offence Safe, just MHO. If anyone posts such abuse of the main board again (especially in such an important thread), ban them for a week, then a month etc. I'd start with looney.

Now let's drop this dwayne nonsense, keep him off for a week. See how it goes.
