Unless anything changes drastically, our market will always be the speculative £20m-£25m punts on championship (Maupay) and Dutch and German league players. Once you move into the realms of £30m plus rated players we are then in competition with West Ham / Everton / Leicester who will are a more attractive proposition for a player and whom will be able to outbid us in terms of fee and wages.

I fear this thread has descended into a pit of cynicism and misery. Poor show.

Thought it was being somewhat more realistic than normal if honest. The trap door though is opening to the pit of doom.
