Playing Charlton. Looks like KLL and Matt Sparrow in the squad. Looks like Mr Sparrow is confident of some scouts attending too.

Why is KLL now in the DS squad? He was up there as one of our best players towards the middle/end of last season and frequently performed better than Buckley. So, what's happened now?

giving him match time?

Why not give him match time in the first team squad, he's exactly the type of player we've needed to come on and run at full backs for the last 30 minutes- but Poyet seems unable to make an early substitution to make it wortwile and instead subs him on with 10 minutes to go. It's all very confusing TBH.

Has KLL actually done much noticeable in the first time, in the chances he has had? He seems very low in confidence and possibly match fitness, so a run out with the DS to sharpen him up, will do him good.

And if kll was to score it would do him the world of good and that can only help the first team and a confidant kll is what we need, what didn't help him is Birmingham players kicking lumps out of him

KLL seems to have lost a yard of pace, which means his predictable three step method of beating fullbacks (stepover with one leg, knock past defender with other foot, chase and drill into box/side netting) isn't quite as effective.

I certainly wouldn't be starting him anyway - impact sub only I'm afraid.

This - it's a good opportunity for him to actually show what he can do - if he has a good game he might well feature against Leeds.

There's very little you can do when your brought on for the last 5 - 10 minues of a game like Poyet does. How are you meant to get into the rythm of it and make an impact in that time? He should be brought on with at least 30 minutes to go.

He was still very effective toawrds the mid-end of last season to my mind, yes an impact sub but should be subbed on at a time when he can make a difference.

If football worked like American football where you can bring players on and off as the situation dictates KLL would be our superstar winger. Unfortunately I really am not sure he has what it takes to start and contribute enough over 90 mins to every aspect of the game at this level. Hate saying that, and would love him to prove me wrong.

Did you watch the Ipswich game?

He seems quite happy with a long contract and his future semi-planned.

No real basis to my assumption that he doesn't seem to have a great work ethic and would appear to enjoy being a footballer more than actually playing the game.

I do wonder if this might be his downfall also, especially with his injury record.

Didn't LuaLua have to go to Germany during the international break to have the plate removed from his ankle? Even a small operation can set you back so this is probably helping him get back to full fitness.
