The Avenue then Maloncho
Might be telling you how to suck eggs here but if like me you’re not a regular here goes.

DON’T USE figure 1 - they don’t even know how to spell “buses”
It’s probably not so much a total scam but will charge you over a fiver for something that costs £2.50 a bit like those third party sites that issue Turkish visas etc.

Figure 2 is the pukka one, the government one that looks like checking your tax code etc.

Safe journey

EDIT just to clarify, below is TWO separate photos

Sussex but not by the sea
Good to know, thanks.
The Dartford Crossing = yet more political lies. Once the costs of building it were recovered it was supposed to be 'free' to use (paid out of road tax like any other road infra). I believe those costs were recovered over 10 years ago.

Similar to Wembley Stadium rebuild costs and holding FAC SFs etc there only until costs recovered.

Just been on the phone to them trying to sort out their mess of a website. We crossed yesterday and are in Norwich now. It’s a frustrating experience. I think I’ll open an account and stick a few quid in there to save all this hassle every time I cross (not often but I’ll be back for the Ipswich game).

DO NOT open an account with them!, unless you use it regularly.

They are robbing Barstewards that will insist you need a minimum of £10 in your account at all times ( you don't! ).

Then if you haven't used it for a long period of time, they will close your account down and not send you your remaining balance. I know this from personal experience, having been told THREE separate times that a cheque for the balance was in the post. Needless to say, not one of those cheques ever arrived.

Just pay online, on the day or before midnight the next day.

Why not use a pay as you go account, they just hold your card details and debit it when you use the crossing, no need for minimum amounts to be held in the account, and you get an email and text message when they debit your card.

Good idea! I wasn't aware that option was now available (y)

my in laws are in norwich so for years now i've had £10 in there for both my cars and it tops it up automatically from time to time via a direct debit so don't have to worry about it. It was very easy to set that up .

Open an account with £10 and you can set recurring top ups If your account falls below a certain limit. Very easy and saves all the hassle. I think it’s slightly cheaper per crossing too.

Got an account with both mine and my wife cars on it and balance is often below £10 (not set to auto renewal) I just ensure there is enough for a return journey and top up as necessary. Did get an email couple of years back to say account had not been used for a year and would be deactivated if didn't click on link to keep active. Find it very easy.

Just DON'T FORGET! Pay as soon as you can - set yourselves a reminder if necessary, tie a knot in your hanky.
Would suggest that someone bounces the thread later on tomorrow for folk to remember.
