I live within 1 mile of Donington Park and I f**king hate download....... Musics great if thats your thing, and I'm not a NIMBY, live and let live and all........ but 10's of thousands of trashed and smacked up people, pissing in the streets, and leaving their litter and shit everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Castle Donington looks like a rubbish dump in just a few days. Everyone buggers off after 5 hazy days, but it takes a month to clean up the shit.

At least you'll enjoy it !!

Might have been mine, I'm pretty sure I brought it with me last year. Not going this year though: we could only afford one festival this year and Sonisphere has both a better lineup and a better layout.

Got bored of Download after the first couple of years... too full of scene kiddies and twatty teenagers.

Add posh girls bragging about their "straight As" and this could also describe Reading.

Indeed it was Sir.

It did used to be good when it was one day and I went to most of them but I really enjoy the three day festival. Loads more bands and stages and the layout is better than it used to be. I'm taking my caravan to a site nearby so will hopefully get some decent kip this year and not feel like death by Sunday. At 46 I'm not too sure how many of these I have left before I decide I'm too old so determined to make the most of it!

Glastonbury is also awash with Tarquins and daddy's little princesses but the atmosphere is a lot better... Reading et al seem to be full of idiots that think setting tents on fire is fun.

True, very true.

But I think Reading's speciality is stroppy black clad truculent male teens.

Virgin was just full of chavs when I last went. Horrible festival, in fact festival is not the correct term. It's just a huge corporate gig in a field.
