Virtually every other song they recorded was written by Jez Bird and sounded nothing like Poison Ivy. Check them out, they made some mighty fine pop records. I think Jez is still out there playing locally.

Last time I saw Jez Bird he was doing covers. He said people didn't want to hear his songs! The only Lambrettas song he did was 'Poison Ivy'.

A shame as he is a great songwriter and 'Da-a-a-ance' was far better that Poison Ivy. 'Beat Boys in the Jet Age' is one of the best albums of all time. FACT.
