I, for one, enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
Completely agree that it's been super frustrating, as we've been so good. But it's been a really memorable season. It's been really exciting to see how we've played, and the rise of the likes of Sanchez, Lamptey, Webster, White, Moder, Veltman... and the arrival of Welbeck & Lallana.
I've enjoyed this season a lot. It's obviously been majorly tarnished by the absence of fans, but I still finding myself looking forward to the last two games, even though we'll probably lose, if only to see our talent developing.
I fear you are going to be disappointed next season too. It would be amazing if we could set the league on fire, but it's probably more the case of baby steps, as we lose our best players, but see our next rising starlets establish themselves (Zeqiri, Karbownic, Caicedo and others).
This is the proper way to run a football club, rather than relying on an old guard. It's going to be a long journey, but I'm absolutely confident the end destination will be worth it, as long as we can keep hold of Potter.
Great post!
