Ding Dong !
Boy I'm HOT today !
I was called to change and fit locks on front and internal doors to a very nice lady in Brighton this morning.
After completing the work I got chatting to her and she told me she's just moved down from London and that her brother plays for Crystal Palace
(had I'd heard this whilst completing the work, my chisel would have probably made a hole in the door where a hole should not have been )
That was like a red rag to a bull for me and I just couldn't help myself. I then proceeded to tell her how much I hated the scum and the history behind the rivalry between the teams when she said " well actually he's not with them just at the moment"
I asked why ? was he having trials with other clubs, or was he injured or was he taking an extended holiday ( well yes as a matter of fact )
Turns out he is doing a bit of porridge at the moment
As much as I wanted to ask what he had done to be a guest of the Queen, I showed my more sympathetic side to my nature by saying " Oh dear what a shame, I'm sure he's very talented and has a bright future ahead of him "
I believe he is one of their youth team players and had I known this before starting the job I'd have charged her double !!!!!!
