Not a driver meself, but isn't there maybe a suitable road on the approach to the Amex where the club could instigate an official drop-off point complete with Gatwick-style drop-off charge? And no I have no idea where that road might be

It’s a toss up which action is more ridiculous on match days, those who stop exactly where this fool has chosen, or the impatient morons who refuse to queue with everyone else and stop in the middle of the A27 whilst waiting to push in. f***ing idiots.
Yep several times I've seen near misses driving past the slip road. Some drivers are absolute imbeciles.

Not a driver meself, but aren't there enough roads on the approach to the Amex that the club could instigate an official drop-off point complete with Gatwick-style drop-off charge?
There should be very few cars on that slip road anyway, most of the parking is entry via the park . . . I've come to the conclusion most of the car traffic is people doing drop off. . . . There should be a designated drop off point, maybe Moulsecomb wild park or something.

Not something the club wants too or should encourage.
Anyway nobody is going to an official drop off point a distance away when they can get to the front door.

That's the whole problem with car-brain.

I don't know this woman but feel 5 points and a grand fine is more than enough punishment without her name, face and website being plastered all over the Internet over Christmas because she picked a silly spot to drop her family off at the game.
I think its fairly standard practice for the courts to publicise their results now. This one went to Hastings Magistrates court, so was freely available to be reported. Far more people than the poster above have then subsequently posted her website.

Separately I was wondering if anyone on here would fess up to this... :ROFLMAO:

Well they need to do more to discourage the dropping off. Literally hundreds of cars in and around the stadium after matches clogging thing up, which are absolutely not people leaving the official car parks.

I don’t personally understand why cars are allowed to drive up to the stadium after the game - it would make getting away a heck of a lot easier

Just more folks looking for that elusive Amex travel hack that gives them that slight edge over others competing for the same shit set of limited travel options

This would still happen even if we had trains, monorail, buses, waterslide ample parking and jetpacks.

It's nothing to do with AMEX travel options and everything to do car culture.

You would say that tho, wouldn't you? I'm every bit as anti-car as you are, but fact remains it's a gorgeous stadium in a shit out-of-town location. So folk resort to travel hacks where they think they can get away with it. Human nature innit

You realise this is a thread about people parking on a dual carriageway.
That doesn't just happen because the park and ride is full, that happens because that's what you do when you can only think car.

There’s already an official drop off point on Sussex Uni campus just the other side of the foot tunnel under the A27. It’s just most drivers don’t use it as it would inconvenience them.
