Not sure if this has been noticed elsewhere on the board but our old friends Doncaster Rovers have had an amazing end to the season.

On March 8th they were in 20th place in League two with 40 points from 35 games. 13 points clear of relegation and 14 points off the play offs with 11 games to go. Looked like a dull end to the season with no real threat of relegation and no hope of anything more exciting happening. However...

Starting with a 2-0 win at home to Crewe they won 10 of the last 11 games and drew that other match to pick up a remarkable 31 points out of 33, scored 28 goals and let in just 7 to finish 5th. They now face Crewe again over two legs in the play off semi finals. Good luck Donny, what a turnaround this would be if they got promoted.

Look at post 75 on that thread, it’s a Doncaster fan from a few days ago phoning up a BBC radio show to thank the Donny manager and players. He also talks about his Dads battle with dementia and how what Donny have done have given him positive memories of this season despite his Dads illness. It’s fantastically heartwarming and sad listening, and something I’m sure we can all have empathy with as football fans.
