they really are incredible, i swam with them at discovery cove in florida in the summer. Best thing we did out there!

Doesn't the fact that they are smart enough to approach for assistance make it all the more heart rending that we continue to scoop them up in nets?

Line caught tuna only chaps.

Also been lucky enough to swim with wild dolphins off the coast of Kaikoura, New Zealand. Brilliant experience. Also swam with seals there and they were probably even more playful with us than the dolphins. Whale watching there too. Thoroughly recommend it

Had a sea lion bite me when snorkelling with them in the Galapagos once. No malice in it. I was wearing daftly baggy shorts and I think it was a bit like a kitten with a ball of wool because there were a gang of half a dozen of them just barrelling around and buzzing us.

It was no more than a nip. Wonderful creatures.

Yeah, I did that in 2004.
I wasn't that impressed with Dolphins tbh.
Far more moving, emotional and exhilarating for me was getting in with a fully grown adult Cheetah in South Africa - that was far more memorable.

i got bummed by one in fiji.........he never said cheers either ..........ungrateful fuckers dolphins are.
It sounds like he's the one who put the effort in, so the question is, did you say thank you?
