QPR midfielder Tommy Doherty has joined Wycombe on a three-month loan deal.

The 27-year-old was signed by former manager Ian Holloway last summer, but was subsequently placed on the transfer list by current boss Gary Waddock.

Should the Northern Ireland international prove successful at Adams Park, the clubs could opt to strike a permanent deal.

Wycombe boss Paul Lambert told the club website: "He's an experienced player and he will give us help in midfield.

Could have done a job!

Really was a fantastic player for City could have gone on to much better things.

Think he struggled at QPR though with rumours of Weight/Drinking problems.

However we can't be to picky in our situation and think he would have been fantastic on loan, if he impressed when could have then signed him in the window.

With rumours about him and Mulryne having similar problems, it would have been nice to sign them both. Then they could have both gone out in Brighton on sunday afternoons got shit faced and finished the night off with a Kebab
