I know yesterday was a friendly but based on that game do we think that Lewes are likely to do better than the gloom and doom we were predicting a couple of moths ago?

They looked ok yesterday, and with a couple more signings, plus having Cullip playing, I think they could survive.

They looked fairly good yesterday but that could be because we didn't play great. Their numbers 3 and 9 looked quite handy and as someone mentioned if Cullip can sure up the defence they should be ok....just.

I though that they were poor yesterday other than, has been mentioned the Nos 3 and 9. Their goalkeepers in both halves were very poor. They tried 110% to beat us but we only played at 70%, at least that made a game of it. Looking at the ground I believe that they think they will only be in that league for 1 season because the ground is very poor I would say not even as good as Worthing's Woodside Road.

The only thing that goes in their favour is that the teams promoted from the BSP South tend to do better than those from the North, that certainly proved the way last season with Salisbury and Histon surviving with a degree of comfort.

I am not sure if this will this happen again next season, but their chances must be improved by the fact that Altrincham should have been relegated but were kept up in the BSP largely against their wishes (following the sad demise of Halifax), so that is definitely a team facing a season of struggle. Add in the unknown of a few teams in the Football league struggling to stay in existence, if things go horribly wrong there could be more teams promoted from the BSP to fill the gaps and fewer relegated.

Will be an interesting season ahead with three Sussex sides in the BSP, I am expecting Crawley to do rather well, if all their signings are up to the mark.

I fear that the best hope that Lewes have is that survival at this level in the Conference may come down to decisions made by accountants, lawyers and ground grading committees.

Lewes still have money to spend to survive the scrutiny of the ground grading committee. That will be at the expense of team strengthening - and, from what I saw yesterday, Kevin Keehan will need to strengthen the squad considerably.

Looks brighter than it did, let's hope they can keep their off field issues off the pitch.

Think they will survive, but may need help with loans, from Brighton. Some of the younger players at Brighton would benefit from a season in the BSP.

I think they definitely have a good chance of staying up. It looks like they've got a good footballing side together who pass it pretty well. They need to tighten up in the final third (should have beaten Brighton by more IMO), but there's a lot of positives. I hope they give it a good go. And I hope the town and surrounding areas really get behind them.

Beating us in the first place would have been a start.
