Does the club shop open on a Sunday?

Don't think it does mate, went past there the other week and it was definitely shut (it was a Sunday before you ask).

Ring the club (01273 695400) and it gives you the club shop number and I think they state the opening hours on there.

Might be a nice little money-spinner for the club in the run up to Xmas if they did open on Sundays tho, especially with all the new goodies they got in. Obviously the weekday staff deserve days off like the rest of us, but they could get some part-time staff in as cover, I'd have thought.

So why can't they open all year round? Vital money being missed out on I think

You have to weigh up costs of paying extra staff or overtime for existing staff with the amount of money which would be taken.

Would you really want to shop there on a Sunday in the middle of July?

They used to and was to quiet to make it worth while. You need another key holder, then you need someone to do the banking etc.

Sure, why not? Thousands of holiday makers, foreign tourists etc. in the town July & August. Advertise it right, get a load of Albion beachwear type stuff in & it could make a mint. The club could also of course make sure any new kit was in the shop by July thereby ensuring a roaring trade in the shop. Why buy your suntan lotion anywhere else? Maybe it could squeeze out in blue & white stripes like toothpaste or something. Besides, there was Falmer For All sticks of rock on sale yesterday. Interesting new sideline... ;)

i do think they miss out on money by not doing little things
eg on the march stick all the old play off flags out side the shop and sell them for £2 and keep the shop open 15- 20 mins later to catch the people on way from station going to march

as 10cc say, not in hove
i read the comment on ask the club that it was too quiet....really? quieter on a sunday than on, say, a monday in october?

as the city gets busier and busier at weekends i'd have thought opening sunday and closing monday (if at all) would make more sense.....
