Not really - its a long season, and were playing Derby away so its not as if we'd be throwing away 3 points anyway!

Yes. Yes it does. It's important to have a good understanding at the back, which your not going to get having only met your team mates the day before. I'd be happier with El-Abd partnering Guy, and have Ried at right back. McShane can then train with the team and come in when ready.

Yeldell and Blayney both did well in their first games after arriving at the last minute. Yeldell didn't meet the team until lunchtime before the game at Leeds. And we made him wear pink in front of the Leeds fans.
