Yeah - it was decent of him to give the pay for play thing a go this season but his body is clearly too far gone now. Good luck to him.

i was listening to a Southampton based radio station on Monday when they broke it as an exclusive

They interviewed Mark Dennis the former saint and now director for Eastleigh.
The reason he gave for Dodd leaving Brighton was that his building business based near eastleigh was taking up too much of his time. Also Booker rang Dodd and asked him to stay and reconsider his decision.

No mention of an injury

His back played him up after about 4 days into pre-season training so he had treatment, but then decided he wasnt up to training full time anymore. He really wanted to prove himself and get a pay as you play deal if possible.
