Do you trust 'nice' people??

While watching Victor's scathing attack no Shell on Big Brother last night for being nothing more than nice I started wondering why we, as people, seem to have a problem with genuinely nice people. I mentioned it to my flatmate who agreed and we got to talking about why we always believe that nice people have another level as scheming, nasty pieces of work. It's clear that Shell, for example, is a really really nice girl as she hasn't partaking in nuch of the bitching that has been going on during the show yet people in the BB house seem to mistake her for an evil little bitch sometimes.

Why is it that 'we' cannot seem to trust people who are nothing short of lovely?

Nobody can be nice all the time, we like to see people showing their nasty side 'cos it reminds us that they're just like us. If someone is always nice then it gets annoying because we know we can't be like that.

Or something.

Brilliant quote from Victor last night:

"I respect Nadia, she's got balls."

That is so true.

That's true Ex Shelton

Everyone has faults and until you actually see what faults a person has you are distrustful because you don't know what to expect.

i trust everyone

thats my problem (well, one of them)

If a person sets a 'nice' line for themselves to walk, they are going to be judged by every nasty little pratt as to how straight they walk that fine line.

If anyone is a total arse, an obviously awful piece of shite swaggering through life as a bragging, loud, lying, overbearing and generally unbearable qunt - then people are either intimidated, mistakenly respectful, or in denial of the stench and defensive of that scumbag.

That's life. Try to be nice and you won't attract the sycophantic idiots who stick up for scumbags, and you might have real friends - fewer, yes, but ones who are quality.

There's a lesson in these reality shows then.

What I have been told by female friends of mine about the attraction of arseholes is this, plain and simple they think that they can change them and mould them into a better person. What a dumb notion.

Better to shed women who don't respect someone who is nice to them.
I rest my case, you'll get fewer birds, but you won't get the ones who prefer to be flies on shite.

It's endemic though, because there's no reason to be nice to low-quality women....which means they'll be attracted to you when you are not nice to them.

Man throws wheat into the wind to be rid of the chaff, Grasshoppers. Seek those who will remain, good in a storm. Let the 'chaff' blow aside .
