Do you think booing the players at the end of the MK Dons game

Is likely to galvanise them into trying a bit harder or will it just push them further into their shells as they worry about more abuse if they misplace a pass or cock up a shot? Or do most of them just not give a shit anyway so won't be affected at all, or maybe they really aren't as good as most on here seem to think they may be.

Personally I think that once things reach the stage where the fans turn on the team, it's time for wholesale changes before any improvement is likely. That rules out any chance of this season improving imo and inadvertently the fans may have put the final nail into the relegation coffin.

It is understandable that the players were booed but is it likely to have helped or hindered our cause?

Players will be affected by the fans boo-ing. Definately. However, the fans will not have put the final nail in the coffin this season - AT ALL.

It's frustraton, pure and simple, and quite frankly, totally understandable.

Nope, not at all, can anyone on here honestly say that they have been motivated to work harder by being abused at work...didn't think so!!!

Its down to how the players respond to the boos and whether they take it as a wake up call or think f*** the fans and f*** the club. A professional would use the boos by means of motivation, he would take it on board and say right that is unacceptable and perform better.

After all this season we have cheered and sung are hearts out for every away game and we haven't been bad at home considering... So obviously this set of players don't respond to the cheers and motivation so booing is a last resort and if it doesn't work then...?

Well, depends. The players were slaughtered after the Walsall game (particularly Matt Richards), came back and beat a strong Man City side (with man of the match worthy performance from Richards).

But they were also slaughtered after the Carlisle game, and followed that up with a 5 match losing streak.

If they have professional pride and take responsibility for themselves, they will step up. If they're insecure, cowards they will shy away from doing what tey are employed to do.

To Gully, my best A-level result came in the only subject in which someone made it abundantly clear how badly we, as a class, were failing.
