Richards‘ ’analysis’ of our performance was focused on how high our set up allowed the wing-back Lamptey, to get up the pitch. The line up graphic on the BBC match report shows the same - but the reason he’s so high is that he was playing left midfield (with Igor solidly at left back)Micah Richards is a box tick, complete goon, you’ll find half a dozen more knowledgeable bores in any pub.
If you don't usually watch it, just get on the iplayer and treat yourself to the end titles. It finishes with our fourth, and focus on Joao's subsequent 1-2-3-4 done celebration. With that iconic music behind it, it's absolute porn for any Brighton fan.
He needs putting out to pasture. Trying to be a latter day Coleman/Wolstenholme. Commentary has moved on since "1-0".Jonathan Pearce referring to mark bright "he literally shed blood for crystal palace as a player".
I saw it as a 3 I must say with Igor a wide 3rd CB, Hinch and Lamptey both wing backs but it was lopsided and nuanced but not sure any of them fulfilled a conventional full back role yesterday.Richards‘ ’analysis’ of our performance was focused on how high our set up allowed the wing-back Lamptey, to get up the pitch. It’s effectively a back four, with one solid full-back and one more attacking full (wing) back. We do exactly the same with a back line of Veltman, Dunk +1 and Pervis (only in that scenario it is the left back Pervis who bombs forward, whilst Joel sits.)I saw it as a 3 I must say with Igor a wide 3rd CB, Hinch and Lamptey both wing backs but it was lopsided and nuanced but not sure any of them fulfilled a conventional full back role yesterday.

Same principle yesterday, but with the right back Hinshelwood given freedom to go forward, while the left back Igor sat.
Tariq Lamptey played on the left wing - he never at any point spent time in the back line.
Yes. Facundo and Tariq were clearly playing as wingers. And you're right, it's normally Pervis that is the FB that bombs on whereas the other one (Veltman) sits, but with Hinshelwood playing at RB, he's been the one to do it.It’s effectively a back four, with one solid full-back and one more attacking full (wing) back. Watching it now. Jeez, someone get Jonathan Pearce some Valium.
