For the first time in my voting life i consider that i live in a marginal seat at the forthcoming election,sitting Labour M/P Charlotte Atkins is defending a majority of 2,400 in which before 1997 the Tories had held safely for 27 years. For once my vote might count !

Gloucester had a Labour majority of almost 13% (4271) at the last election, with the Lib Dems miles behind, the Tories will have to work hard to overcome that as the incumbent is fairly popular locally but they will probably consider it a key target if they are to get a clear majority in Parliament.
