can not wait to move back to gods own seaside resort (sometime towards the end of the year with luck) .....The sea and the downs..perfect.......i live in camden at the moment and have done for about 12 years,its got a great nightlife.....but we are getting old now nearly 40 and i wanna bring kids up where they can have a healthy outdoor life,and they can learn english in school as opposed to gobbledeegook !

I walked from Hove Lagoon to The Meeting Place Cafe yesterday lunchtime and the front was heaving

Had lunch at TMPC and got talking to two ladies down from London. With all their driving, they only had 2.5 hours down here, so it did make me think I take it for granted

Was born 100 meters from the sea, and could hear seagulls and buoys in the morning every morning till I went away to university. Miss it intensely, now, some 17 miles away. On a run of three or four days with an east wind, I can just smell the sea. Some days I just go down to the water to hear the gulls.

In Tolkien, once an elf hears the gulls, he's done for -- it's just a matter of time before he goes into the West. I know how that feels.

When I came back from a hectic week in China the first thing I did before even going home was to sit on seafront by hove lawns and watch the world go by.
It was 6.00 in the morning and so peacefull it made me appreciate what we have here compared to others.

Absolutely LOVE living by the sea, Hoveside. When I regularly go to follow The Albion away, even when we get stuffed - I think to myself "I'm getting out of this shit-pit in 10 minutes & I'm going home to be next to the sea in a f***ing brilliant city". Sorted.

Very under-rated part of Brighton, the sea.

Something that it's easy to take for granted, until you then see a fabulous sunset, and though you've seen it a thousand times before, once again your heart goes into freefall, and Brighton just goes from brilliant to... magical.

I love it. Yesterday going for my run between Hove Lagoon and the Marina it was just fantastic, looked great, the fresh smell of the sea and the people out enjoying themselves.

Lived south of new church road all my childhood, so wish park the beach and hove lagoon were where me and the gang used to roll. grifters, then bmx's..........lost count of the time got thrown out of those arcades...put a banger in a lump of dog shit next to the cafe/arcade owners new capri once....made us wash off all the shit!! must have gone through about 15 dinghys in my times in the water!! now at seven dials and dont go to the beach/prom as much as i should to take in the front/views........tomorrow i will be though as got no f***ing work on again!!

Probably don't appreciate living near the sea nearly enough. Like a communal garden, it's nice to know it's there, but can easily go a month without going anywhere near it. Best appreciated with visitors IMHO, or after a period away stuck in somewhere like Slough.

Having lived in Worthing for all but 4 days of my 38 years, I would agree with that completely. However, I've noticed that now I live in Redhill, on these lovely sunny days, I really want to be near the sea!

When I could be by the sea in 10 minutes, I wasn't bothered, but now I can't be there, I want to!!! Typical!
