Do we REALLY need ANOTHER Midfielder on Loan??

Slade seems to think so, and is going after one from a Championship club?

Bangura
Fraser
Livermore
Jarrett
El Abd
Virgo

I guess if it puts Virgo and El Abd further away from a centre midfield place then I am up for it, but a 25th signing of the season, is that what we need?

i imagine he knows that El-abd and Virgo are not really midfield and he does not rate jarret and frazer is not good enough so yes i think we do.

Its seems to me he sees what we all see. Virgo, El Abd, Jarrett & Fraser aren't the answer in midfield. After Livermores performance at Walsall he probably thinks the same although a bit harsh maybe considering he was left back for that game. That leaves Bangura who although good on the ball might not be the answer in a relegation dogfight.

Put the other, what is our midfield option with no loan signing? Then it becomes clear why we are going down

Perhaps if we got a good midfielder it would help.

Yes. We do need another midfielder. Would love Racon to come back!!! I don't actually rate Bangura. He's not good on the ball, he's just a terrier that chases- too much hustle and bustle with no effect. I know it's another loanee, but at this stage that really is irrelevant.

A midfielder who actually wants to play and show some passion might help

Will we get that from loanees though? I can thin kof at least 25 players we have tried in midfield this season. The only one with passion was Tommy Fraser, but he is not the best player we had playing there.

Virgo apparently showed 150% commitment according to Slade at Scunthorpe, but having watched the game, he was RUBBISH, as well as unfit

How about we field a side made up of BRIGHTON players? There are enough of them, fit, and I am sure itching to play. They can't be any worse than the loanees. And might just give us the passion and desire we are asking for.

Not sure who's out there, but could try and track down an out of team Championship player who wouldn't mind a drop in league if it meant regular 1st team football. That way we could include a 'buy' clause depending on performances. Might mean he puts everything into it, rather than (peoples suggestions of) the other loanees.

Just an idea lyke'.

As far as I am concerned he can sign another 11 players on loan until the end of the season if they can win 6 or 7 games and keep us up. The latest news however does indicate that when he was appointed he hadnt been consulted about the latest loan signings and that they were signed on the recommendations of somebody else.

I was only thinking the other day we need a load more loan players.

The reason we are in this mess is because we have had the most disjointed team of loan players/new signings i can ever remember, with players rediculously out of position and Virgo in the team at all costs. No team will ever do well with as many loan players as weve had or by constantly swapping and changing the team from one game to another as much as we have..........but its desperate times now, I dont care whether the bloody cleaner plays in midfield now as long as they keep us up!!!!!!!

Also Birchall.

What we lack is a creative midfielder: Birch has shown glimpses of this (eg pass to Nicky at Luton) but has not been given a proper go in his preferred position.
