I've just been offered a free corporate hospitality ticket to see Bon Jovi on Saturday which I can take or turn down but utterly can't sell - I'm going to need my work ID card to get in as it is.

They're not a band I'd say I'm a fan of, but the potential to drink free booze is overwhelming. Should I go?

You're all making good points.

I wonder if I snuck in my set of high speed ferry engine room ear protectors and wore them while knocking back free beer would that be OK :glare:

Vankleek Hill, actually....
They make great Karaoke songs.

I'd go just for the free booze. You should take advantage of your employers hospitality, as it probably doesn't happen very often.

Once you've had too much, then you'll slip into Karaoke mode and start singing along. (Well I would anyway). ;)

Go, definitely. Just to see that Peter Framptonesque tube-guitar thing on Livin' on a Prayer

wherever the money is
DO it. You can not knock free beer no matter who is playing. I think Bon Jovi are ok as a band and their support band might be pretty good so go. No brainer in my book.

Go along and take the free beer.

Hell, you could even have a bit of fun watching the crowd.... You know the sort of thing - laugh at their stupid hair-do's, smile faintly at their Hi-Tec trainers with the massive tongues tucked outside of their drainpipe black jeans and generally roll around giggling as they belt out the 'hits' and drown out the band they have actually paid money to see (and hear)

On the other side of the coin, I believe Johnny B-J and his co-horts are extremely popular amoungst dirty ladies with breasts. So you could well cop an eyeful to boot !
