DJ Andy Kershaw has been jailed for three months for breaking a restraining order involving his ex-partner.
The 48-year-old had pleaded guilty to the offence at the High Bailiff's Court in Douglas on the Isle of Man.

The breach of the order, which bans him from seeing Juliette Banner, took place in Peel on the island in November.

Kershaw, of Shore Road, Peel, had also admitted making use of the telecommunications system "causing needless anxiety to others".

BBC radio star Andy Kershaw has been sent to prison for three months.
Kershaw, 48, appeared for sentencing after admitting two breaches of a restraining order banning him from contacting former partner Juliette Banner at a December court hearing.

He had also admitted a charge of using telecommunications to cause needless anxiety and a charge of being drunk and disorderly outside Peel police station.

The drunk and disorderly charge followed an incident on November 7 when he called one police officer 'incompetent' and an 'idiot'.

Kershaw, of Shore Road, Peel, appeared for sentence today and was given three months' custody.

High Bailiff Michael Moyle said: 'In some ways this whole matter is getting more and more like a Greek tragedy.

'You seem hell bent on destroying yourself.'

He told the radio DJ he was the author of his own misfortune.

Kershaw, as he was receiving his sentence, told the court his children had visited him of their own volition on the previous two weekends, saying they had 'voted with their feet'.
