I think that there would be a fair chance of those votes being ignored. Ditto Loft and Dixon.
Why? Are there some rules in place about who can and can't be voted for, or is it just that your vote is discounted if whoever it is that counts them doesn't like it?

No idea. Just saying that, one, there's precedence for this (albeit under a different regime), and two, the club now know that there is a protest vote under consideration.

Some may call it 'vote-rigging'. ???

How is it vote-rigging?

If we were top of the league and a poll was started on here with eight worthy contenders for P.O.T.S and we all decided that a particular player had been the best and were going to vote for him, would you consider that vote rigging too?

Deciding individually for one player is one thing, but this is the first time for you that there is a concerted campaign with only one contender (who it appears has not been decided upon yet), persuading people to vote for him, rather than the usual of leaving people free to vote for whom they really want to choose or deem worthy.

Vote-rigging is probably not quite the right phrase, rat-f***ing is probably a better phrase.

How about 'electioneering'?

I think you're insulting most of the posters on this site if you think they'll be persuaded to vote for someone just because some chump like Richie or I say we are!!

What it does do is give everyone who is considering a protest vote a common recipient of that vote which, in turn, will have the greatest impact. If anyone thinks that Whing or Forster or anyone else should win then they will vote for them - end of story. But there are a sizeable minority who don't think anyone deserves to be praised after this total massacre of a season.

Fair enough. I'll just insult the posters who are persuaded by a chump like you... :p

Meopham, Kent.
Surely if we are going for an ironic selection, yet someone who is still technically a Brighton player, I would have thought Joel Lynch was the obvious choice.
