After Dixon has left today, could we please agree to release McLeod & Hawkins. These 2 are i'm afraid not up to the job, with the New Albion !!

McLeod is easily good enough, but he makes Darren Anderton look like a machine.

Hawkins started very well for us, just completely lost form. Maybe under new management he can get back to his best.

I expect McLeod , Hawkins , El Abd and Davies to be under scrutiny from the beginning of pre season training and the early part of the season to see if they measure up to the task.

Hawkins can go now. Waste of a squad number.

As for McLeod, there's a half-decent footballer hidden somewhere inside that comedy fat costume. Would recommend sweating him within an inch of his lardy life in pre-season, with the threat of releasing him if he don't lose a couple of stone by the first friendly. Need to bring the point home to Fat Kev that he's living on borrowed time as a professional footballer in his current lardarse state. In the end, the only person he's conning is himself.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know how lardy arse mcleod got on in the beep tests?
Normally we have spies up at Falmer at this time of year to tell us about how the players are sweating-up and whether we have any triallists in. Silence so far this year but if anyone does pass that way, pics of mcleod in training to see how he is shaping up would be interesting.

Can we get enough players signed up so we actually have enough for a few League games before we start offloading more? Just a thought given our injury record over the last couple of seasons.

If he lost a bit of weight then keep him , hes quite quick for a big guy and he has got a good cross on him

No.

Could see Mcleod playing a part this season, he could be quality if he can get fit. Don't think Slade will stick with any "hangers on". If he lasts pre season without getting shipped out he will play a part. He looked v good at P'boro last season.
As for Hawkins he could be good backup under the right manager but he is well down the pecking order, so if he goes it may well be no great loss if the wages are spent on a first team regular.

We have let 15 go now and only signed 5, we need to strenthen.

agreed, i have total trust in rs's ability after keeping us in league1 last season - if he achieved that with no say in the playing and coaching staff i can't wait to see what he can do now.......

too many people seem ready to be negative before we've even kicked a ball this season

If nothing else Mcleod, Hawkins and Livermore, will stay as squad players. They cannot complain too much,as they all underachieved last season. The rest as they say is up to them,as they will get their chance,Dixon let his last chance go !!!!!

McLeod is frustrating. He has an awesome shot on him and can obviously do useful things with the ball, but seems quite content to coast along in his career without fulfilling his full potential. I am not quite sure I want that sort of person earning his wedge at The Albion.

Hawkins and Mc leod will both hopefully stay and play thier part in a good season, niether of the 2 can be classed as world beaters but as mentioned above Mc leod does show glimpses of real quality, slade will weed out the excess baggage and of all the players thus far retained i fear for adam el abd it maybe farewell unless he ups his game a notch or 2,Hawkins seems to be the fans scapegoat for everything that went wrong last season which is bollox,he would have gone ages ago if he was as bad as what i read about him on here.
