He's doing very well indeed although I can't help thinking that the words "I'm going out now. I may be some while" are on the tip of his tongue...

The trouble is, he knows that learning to walk on these crutches is likely to build me up a positively fearsome set of arm muscles. And we all know how useful they could be if anyone was able to pass me a hammer...
