Can anyone recomend a decent camera for about £150?

I have a Canon IXUS (40.. I think it is)... could well be about that sort of price now.

The whole range is supposed to be very good, and it's a terrific little thing.

I'd buy one of the digital camera magazines in WHSmiths.

They seem to all have tables in the back with the best buy charts and list the lastest cameras.

I can further that, why buy it when you only want to see the charts at the back, just pop in and flick through them in your lunch hour.

Personally I think the best thing you can do is to go into a shop and ask to try a few out, you'd be surprised how frustrating some can be and also how much they can do (which isn't a great deal of use if all you want is to take a few casual photos), one of the most annoying of many is the time between taking photo and camera capturing image.

Find one you like but never commit in a shop, I can almost guarantee you'll find whatever camera you choose for 5/10% cheaper on the internet using a site like kelkoo.

Absolutely. I saved about ninety quid on mine.
