Hmmm... may well head down to the Little Chef after the game for some of Heston Blumenthal's signature Plain Chocolate Digestives with Feta Cheese And Anchovies

Stilton on digestives is WRONGERS.

How about a hard boiled egg simply dusted with salt and pepper? YUMTOWN!

No to anchovies. You've gone off in the wrong direction there.

Way out west
Strong Cheddar on digestives is the food of the gods...had forgotten how good it is...almost as good as Cheddar with a piece of Dundee cake.

That is a FANTASTIC call Max, although can I suggest an alternative to the DIGESTIVE.

Hovis biscuits are MAGNIFICENT with the mature cheddar option.

I second that. However I feel that to truly enjoy Cheddar it should be accompanied by fresh granary bread, dairy butter, home made apple chutney and a nice pickled onion and washed down with a pint of Harvey's!

As for other cheeses, Brie (or Camembert) goes well with cranberry sauce especially in fresh Ciabatta. Stilton is nice in a sandwich with a little mango chutney.
