Not had this in AGES, what a classic! I can't wait to get out of work and buy a nice big pack of Digestives and a big lump of cheese.

That is a FANTASTIC call Max, although can I suggest an alternative to the DIGESTIVE.

Hovis biscuits are MAGNIFICENT with the mature cheddar option.

I thought the Hovis biscuit was a digestive.

Can I heartily recommend Colliers Welsh Cheddar plays a part in this. You won't regret it Chappers.

The cheddar can't be laid DIRECTLY onto the digestive biscuit though. There is a requirement for a spreadable thing to be spread between the two.

Yeo Valley Organic Mature is my current cheddar of choice.

Some people frown at my love of the humble digestive coupled with a tasty mature cheddar due to some weird belief that the sweet/savoury combo doesn't work.

What buffoons they are!

It can be laid directly on. For some bizarre reason, that's what sets this apart from having cheese on a cracker, when you do need to have a marg / butter of some description in between.

Digestive biscuits and cheese DO NOT GO TOGETHER - unless you want the sweetness of the biscuit to RUIN the taste of the cheese.

If you like this combination, you shouldn't be ALLOWED to eat cheese.

I'd try digestives and cheddar - sounds like a corking combination....

I'd prefer Oatcakes and cheddar though, with a little chutney and a few grapes...

This has got the makings of a FEROCIOUS debate.

The fact that the two flavours SHOULDN'T go together is one of the reasons why they absolutely DO.

For me, it's all about Snowdonia Cheese Company Black Bomber Cheddar or, for that little extra, their Pickle Power is also worth a try.

Digestives and chesse sounds ace. Adding fruit to it sounds shit.
