I think the relative silence is due to the FDM Is God clique maintaining a smug and dignified silence :smokin:

TWO clean sheets and counting...

I thought it was a very poor game and if we are still playing now, we wouldn't have scored. I want to give elder a chance but don't think he is good enough unfortunetly. Even tho he scored against whitehawk he didn't really impress me much then. Maybe hes lacking match fitness so will give him a few more games but he does add a different attacking option for the last 20 minutes so could be useful.
Robinson really needs a goal and soon, i overheard someone saying that we should drop him after leaving the game, but who would replace him?
I think we will scrapped over the finish line with enough points but expenct it to become rather nervous near the end of the season

Kuipers actually pulled off a fantastic close-range block in the 2nd half when Constantine got on the end of a flick-on and struck it low and hard - the offside flag went up, but not before Constantine had struck it and Kuipers had sent it round the post before either of them had realised the flag had gone up.

Overall it was a fairly solid defensive display, and with a little more composure up front we would have nicked a win. Two clean sheets in a row (in the league) is not entirely down to Kuipers by any means - but its no coincidence either IMHO.

We don't have any fight or passion, no determination, and that is unforgivable for a team with so little talent. Port Vale were one of the worst teams I have seen this season, and we mustered one or two chances in 90 minutes that came more from luck than judgement.
You say Chez's opinion on Kuipers is a joke (quite rightly of course), but this is just as ridiculous. No fight or passion, no determination, I can't understand how anyone who was at the game could possibly say this? Even on the losing run we were still trying, although the lack of confidence was almost tangible. At Chesterfield and yesterday we absolutely worked our bollocks off, battled hard, fought for everything. We also did create several oppurtunites, Robinson went close twice and arguably could've scored both (needs a goal badly), Cox went close as well, Elder was denied at the near post, Hammond forced a good save and then shot just wide, and nodded a free header straight at the keeper. In comparison Port Vale had one Luke Rodgers header and nothing else. Defensively we have been excellent in the last two games. If we managed to get our rumoured targets of Currie and Forster I think we'd have the makings of a very good side for this league.
