I am.

Boring game.

But we were alright. Much better than the last two games. Created a fair few chances in the second half - Robinson missed a one on one which he really should have put away.

Petty Petty ref who blew up for EVERYTHING. And lots of diving from Vale.

Our midfield defensively pretty solid - as a result, they didn't have a chance.

2 points lost i think - but at least we weren't completely hopeless!:)

Thought we were very unlucky and played well.

Never so many opposition players injured in a game at Withdean - pathetic.

Very worried about Elder I am afraid - he did not look very good to me.

Twenty minutes is enough to judge a player making the step up from Non league football then :shootself

Elder - the new Rougier:clap:

Are you people mad?

We were absolutely shite. The good news was so were Port Vale. It really was a shocking game of football, involving two talentless, tedious teams without a hint of tactical skill. I don't remember Michel making a save, and our only clear chance was somehow missed by Robinson from about 5 yards.

Worryingly, I think that's about as well as we can play with the current wasters. Unless there are a minimum of two signings by Wednesday then I predict a relegation struggle. I'm not saying we will go down, but there's no way this squad can pull clear.

Rubbish.

That's the point though - that's as well as we can play, even if in football terms it's shite. So it was an alright performace in ALBION terms. They were worse though, and didn't have a single chance, wheras we had a fair few.

Too harsh! it's not the fault of the kids in the team but the fault of the board for for not helping them.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Elder does not look sharp as he has not had the benefit of a preseason like Revell.

Give the lad a chance!

I thought we were marginally better. Unbelievable how many times we had a drop ball! Port Vale went to ground very easily.

Good display - commitment wise, but nothing to write home about.

Mayo worried me. Let a ball run through him and fluffed a clearance.

My MotM was probably Lynch.

I thaught Elder looked quite dangerous to be honest, give him a month to get his shooting more accurate and i think he could be a decent player for us.

The only thing letting us down today was our finishing. The build up play was quite good and its nice to see a little imagination at set peices, even if they didnt work.

Player Ratings:

Kuipers 7- Didnt have alot to do but looked solid most of the time. thaught he punched when he could have caught a few times though.

Mayo 6- Some good deliveries into the box but gave away possesion a few times

Lynch 7- One outstanding tackle in the box and worked well with butters

Butters 7- Another solid game from the big man, won most things he had to just like in his other 150 Brighton games

The Arsenal Lad 7- Apart from a Dodgey name hes looking like a good player.

El-Abd 8- My man of the match. Good strong challenges, shame the ref blew his whistle too many times

Hammond 7- Not quite sure why he was voted MOM as i didnt notice him much. Had a headder on goal that he should have got on target.

Frasier 6- Nothing special today and nearly ran me over outside the pub before the game!

Cox 8- Some typically pin-point cross field passes from him and looked creative

Robinson 7- Lacks the confidence that he had earlier in the season and should have put his 1 on 1 away.

Gatting 6- got in some good possitions but i think its a little to early for him to be leading the line, especially if Jakies not on form.

Subs:

Elder 7- Looked Dangerous and i thaught he looked most likley to score when he came on.

Hart 7- Typical battaling display from Hart today and put some good crosses in the mixer.
