Well, it,s 5.30pm on Friday.......and no statements from the Board (dick Knight), regarding the future of Micky Adams.

I would have thought, considering our league position, and the embarrassing defeat at Luton on Tuesday, that some sort of statement to the fans would be forthcoming.

Our league position, and the obvious lack of confidence shown by the players, is not helped by Micky Adams interview on SCR onn Tuesday, when he clearly stated that he would be sitting down with the Board to discuss his future.

Mr. Knight needs to come out and inform us all whether Micky Adams is staying or going.

Dilly-dallying is becoming a trademark of Mr. Knight now.

Either publicly back Micky Adams until the end of the season or sack him.

To do neither, will just promote uncertainty, division amongst the fans and surely undermine the players confidence further.

This is the problem with having a chairman living abroad, he can just go back to Spain and bury his head in the sand after every defeat and leave everyone else here to take the crap.

We need to give the Board a little more time. The trouble with the "Adams Out" brigade (of which I am a relatively new member) is that if DK et al knee-jerks, sacks Adams, and then has no-one lined up, we'll all be moaning about how disorganised the Board is. Give them a little credit, and at least a few more days. The advantage with playing Millwall tomorrow is that it is NOT a "must win" game. Amongst the 17 games left to the end of the season, not many will have ear-marked 3 points for this one. Hence, sacking MA prior to tomorrow is not essential (imho).

He's got to be careful, if he comes out and says MA's job is safe, and then we lose the next 2 games and have to sack him, he'll look quite foolish.

Whilst I take your point, this will be another 2 games less for a future manager to turn things around. The seaon is now 2/3rds of the way through and IF a new manager is to be appointed, time is of the essence.

A confidence boost of an unequivacable support from the Board is essential........or the sack.

Decisiveness is what is required from our Board in these troubled times......not head in the sand attitude....IMHO.

Mind you if he says MA has the support of the Board it normally means the opposite 2 weeks later judging what other clubs do when they sack the manager.

Dilly-dallying is becoming a trademark of Mr. Knight now.

The issue is that Dick Knight is no longer in full control like he wants to be. Yes he is in Spain a lot which does not help, but also he has to discuss major decisions with the Blooms. Natural delays occur as a result, which didn't happen when he was all powerful a few years back.

Why, can't he take a conference-call? He could even get hooked up with the webcam, and see the squirmings and sweatings on a live feed.

Could he look any more foolish than sacking a progressive manager and replacing him with a declining manager and saying the declining manager will improve us and take us to the next level (or something similar).

???

Not quite sure why anyone thinks the board should say anything. If they have discussed anything with MA then that's between them and MA.

As for the "sticking their head in the sand" comments - how does anyone know they've not meet every day this week to discuss the situation ?

The only time the board need to say anything is if they sack MA or he walks - until then he's the manager so no need to say anything - what's so f***ing difficult to understand about that !!!!

The only time DK sticks his head in the sand is when he falls off the deckchair

Because if we do nothing the club can walk all over us and do what the f*** it likes.

For why is there expected any announcement 'to the fans'?

I mention this because Micky Adams chose to tell the interviewer on THE FANS PHONE-IN, that he would be discussing his future with the Albion Board this week.

It was his choice to put this in the public domain. Having done that, as a fan, I would also like to know the outcome of these discussions.

Errr ... no announcement so he's not leaving ( yet ) ... hardly a difficult concept to grasp !
