Dick Knight presentation to Slade

Do you think the board should give slade a new contract after the closing game against Stockport, if it was felt Slade would definetely accept it.

I for one would love to see this happen as in my eyes Slade is the man we need to lead us through this divison or be it league 2 next season.

I am so optimistic he has saved us though and am in agreement with a lot of fans that come next Saturday against Stockport i vote a "Baldies day" to show our support for Russell.

Also any chants we can come up with for next saturday would be great!

Gutted i can't make today due to work commitments, but all the best to every Brighton fan for today!

I am in full agreement. Slade is the man and Knight MUST act as soon as we know our fate to secure his services. He clearly loves the club already.

I'm a bit worried that something other than an RS contract has been planned. Only giving him until the end of the season could have been common-sense (unlikely, perhaps, with our track record) but it could also be because DK and co. have already got plans for next season (like they had with MA this time last year).

This worries me considerably; I shall feel much easier when Gannon has signed up to a new deal somewhere, and that the Taxi Drivers' Little Friend is gainfully employed elsewhere. Wasn't that enthusiastic about RS's appointment, but I want him to stay now, and I don't want any nasty surprises, even if DK and the Board think it will make them look good.

I thought that DK had already said that if RS kept us up he would get a 1 year contract?

The NSC rumour mill seems to think that Slade will automatically get a new contract if we stay up... this may be utter crap, or there may be an element of truth in it. Judge from that what you will.
