Do you think living in Marbella he should consider giving up the chairmanship for someone who can be at the club all the time ?
It is hardly a part time job and maybe explains why we fall down in so many areas.

It is a part time job, the role of a chairman is to co-ordinate the board of directors. The directors meet once a month, unless there are any more pressing activities required.

The role of a chief executive is to run the operational activities of a company, and that is a full time post undertaken by Martin Perry.

And a job he is patently not doing very well

I think he should consider standing down from being the Chairman. He has overall done very well in his tenure......but there comes a time for change in every business.
Problem with Dick is , for obvious reasons, he has a great place in most peoples minds for saving the Albion......and any form of questioning or critisism is seen as betrayal, by these people.

Really? There is no doubt that he puts money into the club but I would say very few know on here if it is more or less than the other donors who don't hamfistedly stick their noses into the football operations of the club.

And do they want the job?

If they had it, would they have a clue how to achieve a new stadium?

Conversations with people who are - shall we say? - close to the existing Board of Directors.

Or NEVER had it in the first place. :shootself

BTW the Blooms are NOT the largest contributors to the club on the board.

ALSO - we WILL be signing a former Premiership striker in the transfer window.

This is fun. Let's see how many threads I can start.

The endless chanting of "potless Dick Tight" is really getting ridiculous.

Is there any grounding in reality for the widely-held belief on this board that there is a queue of millionaires who >a) are lined up to pump their cash into a non-profitable business in return for the opprobrium of the masses and an occasional article in the Argus, and b.) are not exercising their option to pour money down a vanity rathole solely because Dick Knight won't get out of their way?

How many teams in the 92 turn a profit? And apart from glory, why would anyone invest in a football team that didn't? And how many people who have made a pile, but can't read a balance sheet are there?

Mr. Knight, whether he lives in Marbella or the Gamma Quadrant, may be the best that can be expected as Chairman.

Perhaps an advert seeking a corrupt Russian oil millionaire could be put in several national dailies?

My cat, and a million pounds, could sort this club in a fortnight.

The ghost of Bill Shankly, and the present finances, couldn't do much better than the status quo.
