How do I buy a share without ripping a page out of his book? Only want one.

Do what I did,photocopied the page,send it in explaining that you did not want to damage the book.

The issue isn't the club being unhappy with DK selling the shares, but one of the other minority shareholders, who is aggrieved that DK is getting the glory (and potentially the cash), whilst they have a worthless piece of paper.

As a consequence the other investor is insisting the club strictly apply the Articles of Association.

It's not a love nest at the upper echelons of the Albion.
